In my view, the market is too regulated and monitored (by ASIC, ASX etc) for it to be manipulated in the way you suggest. I'm sure if you follow other stocks of similar size in the same sector, you'll see similar trading behaviours. Run a chart between BPT, AWE, ROC, ARQ over the last 12 months and you'll see similar sentiment running over the energy sector, not on specific stocks. Get out of BPT is you like, but I believe its prospects are solid and holders will be well rewarded over the mdeium term, especially with positive BMG news and continued exploration successes.
