What people haven't seen yet is that afterpay payments are always due on four dates, whereas a credit card payment depends on where in your interest free period you bought the item.

So if I buy a $200 item on the last day of my credit cycle, I'll need to pay it off (or face interest) when the bill is due - something like 21 days from now.

However if I use afterpay on the last day and charge the repayments to my credit card, I'll have to make 25% of the repayment in that billing cycle, and the others over the next two.

It can really spread out "Credit Card" shock, and I hope it will have eased a few people pain over the Christmas period!
