I'm not sure i've ever seen any costings per unit.

I agree the desal function is the most exciting, but i'm interested in why you would completely discount CETO's potential as an energy source (compared with other renewables).

On the CETO site, CNM's preamble to the PB report says:

"Key factors confirmed by the report are the estimated capital expenditure per MW, which positions CETO close to wind turbines, but with more than twice the operating load factor, and the estimated operating expenditure per kWh which enables CETO to be economically competitive with fossil fuel-based generation."

If wind is capable of getting sites up, then it wouldnt be out of the question for CETO to be used for power generation, would it? Or are they fudging the figures a bit with that statement?
