SP in one year?, page-64

Not to start an argument pro or neg on cryptos I couldn’t put money in them if I wanted to, but I don’t get this- if you make a fortune off cryptos by cashing out doesn’t that mean you took money back into govt. backed currency? Which means you don’t think cryptos are the future which means it’s a speculative bet based on it going up as you’ve sold to make a fortune? Or is the fortune by holding cryptos and hoping you’re going to be rich if they takeover and govt backed currency become useless. Because I don’t understand if it’s a currency it’s hyper inflating which is bad, if it’s a commodity it has no genuine intrinsic (the tech almost definately does but who knows which coin in the future??). Just wondering your views on this as someone who trades/buys them, and no while warren buffet wouldn’t buy micro caps, he also buys entire company’s frequently haha so we don’t always play on the same field
