I have been in graphite quite a few years and yes, to your condescending tone, spot sales for any flake has to still be qualified and I have sold thousands of tonnes of flake at super discount prices when inventory was high, demand low, or trying to bulldoze into a market.

Asbury is one company that buys on spot at low prices if a company is trying to unload inventory.

My comments have nothing against Syrah, yet an educated investor has less chance of being taken to the cleaners or they can wear blinders following the deer in the highlights scenario loosing big bucks.

Keep in mind that NOT ONE of the Syrah senior management has ANY graphite experience which in itself is a significant red flag despite the flare and bright lights.
