I would have to agree, i work for the largest telco in Aus (omitting the exact name even though it is obvious) and i am with TPG for my home connection, i had to call them yesterday, no joke got through to a consultant in less than 1.5 mins.

I can tell you that is MUCH better service than we provide from my office.

I also am not in contract and wont change providers as i have had no reason to do so.

With the NBN more or less leveling the playing field i am bullish on TPG's capability's to offer a service as you said on par with the big guys. And as for the 4g/5g wireless networks. I can attest that 'most' consumers are more satisfied with continuity of connection than speed. Most customers i talk with (would if they had the option) forsake a few Mbps for a more reliable connection.

When 5g comes through i suspect that TPG will appeal to the consumer that, wants 5g, decent data, capital city/eastern sea board coverage, reliable service and a above all cost effective - all this at the cost of a 'a few Mbps' slower than a Telstra 5g connection - would sway a many 'average aussie' to save the $30-$50/ month difference TPG would offer.

    Just my opinion.
