I'm telling you t/a often gets confused as a future and magic diviner of price movements when it is really a trading system for the present. When people's expectations are that t/a told me to do this and it didn;t work out, so t/a is hocum - that is too simple a dismissal.

It is a task master the old t/a - it takes a lot to learn the craft well and a t/a'er will change tack on a dime given the prevailing weight of evidence and the timeframes they are interested in.

I use t/a almost exclusively, and one of the main reasons is to force myself to trade to a plan - its a discipline thing AND very much a pschological thing for me - that is, I can't suffer drawbacks easily so I need to exit when criteria are met..

So to each his own, and let the market prevail.
