    From Beeptool website:

he goal of the S-band Narrowband network

To improve the lives of people across Africa without cellular and internet connectivity by running services on Satellites Grid.
With the first three satellites, we can give a service at any point on the globe at least twice a day for 10 minutes.

All Satellites communicated with each other and have a circular footprint of over 1,500 kilometers diameter which moves all the time.

The frequency range of the service is S-band which allows small antennas as a 8cm patch antenna or 18cm monopole antenna.
The service then enables to connect each 2 locations on the coverage area with a small modem and small antenna. The connectivity size is around 128K/128K for 8cm/2W station

The network is expected to be commercial for few services in 2018 and with full-service implementation during 2019-2020:

We invite you to contact us and participate during the network establishment phase.

The full 24/7 service around the equator from 15 N to 15 S is expected to be launched within a year from now. We might add more satellites on the polar orbit to increase the frequency of service global wise.
Until the full service is up we can supply partial service like water and electricity meters and batch information communication (e.g. sending information from remote to a central location few times per day).
SAS already signed a collaboration agreement with BeepTool in Nigeria and other Africa countries for Financial services, tracking, Monitoring, etc and these days SAS are busy testing their applications in the lab.
The current effort is to sign with customers for trials as a base for full commercial service.
