The last time this happened was as it was rallying. It had just broken the 30 cent barrier on high volume and sellers had dried up. The autobot kicked in and constantly chipped down the SP. People got frustrated and sold up which dropped the SP to 28/28.5. The autobot continued for a couple of sessions further frustrating holders and keeping bidders at bay.
Renewed SubPrime fears thwarted the last attempt of SP recovery. Aim was forced down further by large volume dumps and then capped at 23.
