Maybe Nutri is one of those suppliers that got caught out by the Amazon hype and ended up with too much inventory and now are using Kogan to dump the excess. Should be good business for us.
Deutsch's report found that consumer electronics and small appliances attracted a disproportionate share of consumer spending, driven by a strong technology product cycle.
None of the retailers we spoke to noticed any impact from Amazon and commented that the launch seemed rushed, the research said.
Some suppliers to Amazon had planned a pre-Xmas launch but reported that the group was not able to list their product in time for the festive season sales.
