To be fair, absorption through the tongue/ gums is very efficient too. For some mainstream stuff like Insomnia / autism effects mitigation / pain relief a pill is a good vehicle.
For epilepsy the fast action of gum absorption may be better.
It's still a huge thing because it's an accepted symbol for a medicine, it's easy to dose/ use and it works for some big markets we're trying to solve.
