There seems little chance of any IP being granted by the times the trials have finished as a request for examinations have not even being lodged as yet. Yet we are led to believe the IP was invented before 2012. Why has it taken this long for an examination request?    Could it be they are still looking for the novelty and inventiveness as they do the trials?  If that is so, it would seem like making it up as the trials continue, hoping the trials give them something.   Trials first to prove novelty then examination request based on what the trials showed? Is this normal practice.

As it stands there are three trials underway with no granted patents, not even examination request underway.   How is this so?
