Pear , JW's use the Bible to show that a day can be 12 hours , 24 hours, a 1,000 years , or some lengthy, indefinite period of time. The context determines which of these is being referred to.
(Genesis 2:4) This is a history of the heavens and the earth in the time they were created, in the day that Jehovah God made earth and heaven.
The Bible is also very specific in saying creatures were created as separate "kinds". It is impossible to cross one "kind" with another even under controlled conditions. This eliminates the possibility that it could happen by chance in order to produce a new creature.
(Genesis 1:24) Then God said: “Let the earth bring forth living creatures according to their kinds, domestic animals and creeping animals and wild animals of the earth according to their kinds.” And it was so.
