We could get a double tailwind here; the fed have flagged several interest rates hikes this year and it is hard to see how the Australian reserve bank can follow suit with average families already overstretched by household debt, that is, one can reasonably expect the aud to fall and possibly fall hard ~ say, 55 cents ~ if there's significant international capital outflow from our bank stocks and/or less chinese demand for iron ore.
