LABOR Leader Kevin Rudd needs to firm up his handshake if he wants to win tomorrow's election, one voter says.

Victor Protheron shook Mr Rudd's hand during a walk through the Strathpine shopping centre in the Brisbane seat of Dickson today.

Mr Protheron, who had voted Labor in pre-poll vote, said he might have reconsidered if he had known "Mr Rudd shook hands like a girl".

"If didn't know he shakes hands like a girl, I probably would have," he said.

During the campaign Mr Rudd said he developed a very sore hand after days of handshaking and at one stage had bandaids attached
