Don't worry' AEMO will try to make sure every electron of available energy is used wherever required. After all thats how they maximise their returns. And they won't be phased by shortages that justs drives the bidding higher per Mw. The tighter the market the higher the price. So everyone might scrape through with minimal load shedding but the costs will be exorbitant.
I know of a gas fired turbine in QLd that cranks up the equivalent of only a couple of weeks a year when the price is right (ie shortages) and makes an absolute motza.
