If we get a wages-blowout under Rudd (as seems likely)inflation will sky-rocket and the Reserve bank will step in and raise rates even further. Howard tried to redress the increasin rates by cutting taxes. Rudd has promised to give us those cuts but at some point he will have remove the reserve Bank's independence.
Tomorrow it may dawn on people what an error they have made. Rudd has promised an education revolution...God, I hope so...maybe more education might help people to "do their sums properly" when contemplating who to vote for in future. Today was a triumph for the Bob Brown-loving know-nothings who think wealth and prosperity rain down from sky without hard work and risk.
the next 3 years may well be a century-defining wakeup call for us Aussies.
