I disagree about the bad luck. I think the exploration results have been pretty good, but there's a heap more work to do. At Coolgardie, Bonnie Vale is a cracking little project but it's not going to provide enough tons to feed the mill - Brilliant and the other bigger, lower-grade projects need to do the heavy lifting. At Laverton the Karriedale area could be a major discovery, but the flat dipping, thin lodes shown on that cross section are going to be difficult to mine. They either need lots of tons or lots of grade (preferably both) to make something like that work.
A lot of people under-estimate the amount of reserve ounces required to justify turning the mill back on. It's not just a matter of flicking a switch. Still plenty more drilling required.
