The company is not paying out any cash. This is a notional amount. Basically the Company has converted some of its income tax losses into EDI credits. These are not assessable income To the shareholder. They simply get added to the shareholders tax refund (or reduce your payable).
If the Company makes a taxable profit in future it will have to pay tax sooner given that some / all of its income tax losses have been wiped out by this decision.
Unfortunately this program is going to cease in the near future.
