I am absolutely horrified by this article. If only half of it were to be correct I would agree with Bettt's description of management as Disallowed salesmen. GSW needs to come out with a clear and detailed statement that fully addresses each and every point/issue raised by the AFR article and furthermore it should reiterate the other contracts that have been signed (but not mentioned in the AFR article) and provide as much information as possible about what these mean in a financial sense to the company so that the market gets the full GSW picture. If the article is factually incorrect, would GSW be able to request a trading halt on Monday morning so that it can counter the false information that will otherwise send the SP steeply south as soon as the market opens? Surely the ASX would want to protect the integrity of the stock market once it becomes aware that false information has been published that will greatly affect the value of one of its listed companies. If the report is not materially wrong then management have a lot to answer for because why haven't they informed the market of price sensitive information once it has come to hand? They have been quick to announce new contracts, but too often have failed to provide much supporting detail that can be valued by the market. The reputation of GSW and its management are at stake here along with share holders' funds.
