Thoughtful post Scarpa, thanks (deserving of a nice cold VB or, better, a Belgian Duvel)
I'd like to add three comments:
1. Posters asking for an ann about start of drilling may not be concerned with the delay per se but rather with the fact that the coy thinks it's not even necessary to explain the delay. Some people, including myself, invested serious money (relative to budget) and naturally assume the coy appreciates this. Yet, AVZ officially states (per anns) they will drill early December...no, over Xmas....no, mid January...no....but does not deliver and does not explain. I have no problem with the delay, but AVZ deciding it does not have to explain why is like raising its middle finger to AVZ investors.
2. Some posters flaunt their "nouveau riche" status (15 million shares, 600-2000% profit, ...) and tell others that they should not be "impatient" or "anxious" etc. I think these posters are shooting themselves in their feet -- they want the SP to bag 2-3 (or more) times from here, which will require new investors buying in. If new investors did buy in recently then all they see is a declining SP and a coy not explaining why they can't even meet their own announced date (second time in a row one might add). To ridicule investors for thinking
"investing my money" = "being entitled to an explanation if coy fails own target date"
is not only arrogant but defeats the purpose of attracting new investors that are obviously needed for a next leg up of the SP.
3. Don't fall in love with a stock...I learned this the hard way with another stock (one I did fall in love with but that did not fare well). In contrast, it's easy not to be in love with AVZ. Sure, AVZ likely has the most significant lithium asset on the planet...but management has a checkered past at best and many of its SHs define the term "nouveau riche."
Disclosure: not down ramping. Bought in at the "15 -> 9 cents" downturn when KE sold shares. (Which explains why I am worried it might happen again. Incidentally, when I tried to infer 8horse's entry date from HC postings, it appears to be roughly at the same time, but I may be wrong.) I thought the market over reacted then and bought in, although many of my bigger purchases happened recently. I'm heavily invested in AVZ b/c I think it will be a significant part of the EV revolution, one that will write history. I like that. But I couldn't care less for the arrogance of the coy and some of its (self-proclaimed) large holders.
Scarpa, you often label your writings as dribble...they never are...the above surely is.
Will attend to a room temperature "Duvel" (you should try it one day Scarpa), cheers all.
