I agree with you. I actually reckon GSW was planning to release 4C this week anyway on Thursday.

I get the feeling the 4C will confirm the NA Williams deal is already flowing through to the bottom line and the stock is about to take off. I feel others know this too, maybe some know even more than that...

AFR in combo with bigger powers was planning an all out assault on the stock lastweekend (what was it, 3 or 4 articles now in 3 days?) and curiously increasing shorts weeks prior (which you would normally expect to taper off with volatility reduction and 50 EMA support) suggests many knew the AFR attack was coming with a plan to sell it down hard Monday and clean up as many scalps as possible prior to the 4c and potentially Amazon deal clarification.

But the AFR article went too far and basically accused GSW of fraud. They screwed up here IMO as this was a trigger for ASX please explains and a Trading Halt which shut the big short down.

Once the TH was in place, requesting a suspension formally with ASX up until the planned 4C tomorrow whilst probably satisfying a 'please explain' request from the ASX simultaneously was the best option.

Suspension expunges the market orders which is important as someone was clearly manipulating the market depth to try and create fear and panic selling. ASX would have probably seen this and added to grounds to grants GSW's suspension request. Again, ASX did not force them into suspension, GSW requested it and were approved it. Big difference.

Tomorrow will be the trial by fire. I already have calcs for expected transactions/revenue that would indicate NA Williams is going ahead as planned. If those are hit, then I ain't selling anything.

But what would I know about this whole stock market game ...
