drug testing

I heard on the ABC radio last night that the Northern Territory Govt has paved the way for drug driver testing. From my memory I think it is the last to fall into line.

At the moment the drug tests used are not accurated enough for cannabis, expensive and time consuming to administer.

Can you imagine being pulled over for a random drug test and have to sit on the roadside for ten minutes. If you don't think this is long try stopping tonight on the way home, park on the side of the road and see how long 10 min really is.

I believe that HGR is in negotiations with an US based group to come up with an all in one instrument. Similar to our current 'alocometer' would be good and one that tested the saliva in the breath.

The "drugometer" could give a digital readout in seconds and all you have to do is change the straw for the next motorist.

This will be the way of the future.

At the moment I feel comfortable that work place testing will be huge. Cost and time are not as much of a factor, you're on the bosses time.

My point is HGR has this all this in front of them, they have the technology to change the way we do things and I believe they have the management team to do the same.

I find it amusing that people trade out at 5.2c but I suppose that is the difference between trading and investing.

It really doesn't matter what the company announces and when. The big decision, as I have said in the past, is when to sell.

If they start some good revenue streams, then they will have the capacity to fast track things like the "drugometer".

It will be interesting to see how things pan out.

    Just some thoughts
    cheers
