To what end though? Say this is a ploy to get us to stick around, what would be the long-term play for JP? To keep himself and his crew in a job for the next few years?
Pretty sinister outlook.
A closer version to the truth would be that exploration of this kind takes time and patience, and options of this nature are vehicles for rewarding this patience.
And I don't think one claim that turned out a non-event (for the moment) is enough to qualify it as a 'history'.
In this game, at some level, we all have to take the words at face value. For the moment I choose to believe that JP believes.
