AWE's Waitsia gas Field vs. AWE's Perth Basin Permit Area

It seems to me that the area of AWE's Waitsia Gas Field is just a small proportion of the company's Perth Basin Permit area.  See attached chart.

What is AWE's gas/oil potential on further discoveries inside this much larger Permit Area, or would they have already surveyed the entire area? Could it be possible that AWE's potential value could be a lot higher than what it already is taking into account these other areas?

In fact, what does Permit Area mean exactly? What rights does it give AWE?
