... ban smoking in the workplace and all vehicles.
In one brave act labor could
1. Increase business productivity
2. Save a motsa on medical/hospital costs
3. Improve workers health (smokers and their passive victims)
4. Improve OH&S in the workplace
5. Improve road safety
6. Reduce littering.
Hard to defend not passing the necessary legislation ... you have to be cruel to be kind.
What possible justification is there to allow smoking to continue. Are labor prepared to act responsibly for all (or at least a majority of) Australians?
