The democrats are putting together the final details of their new energy bill, which they want to get through by Xmas.

The bill provides incentives for auto manufacturers to make cars which use biodiesel and ethanol and also significantly increases the mandate for biofuel usage targets over the next few years.

Biodiesel producers are lobbying for a separate mandate.

Case IH, a major manufacturer of farm equipment...tractors etc....is moving toward B100 or 100% biodiesel in their machines:

On the other hand soaring prices of soy bean oil is also impacting quite seriously on the biodiesel industry at present...much like the situation here in oz with feedstock prices...
