Reminds me of when my sister was in the late stages of pregnancy and my mother went to help out. Looking for onions for the steak and saw some small bulbs in the pantry. Only one person ate the lot, the others thinking they tasted a bit strange but too polite to say.
They rang the poisons department and they said they had never heard of people eating daffodil bulbs. After a long pause they said if you experience any reactions could you ring back and let them know what they were.
