I'm a petrol head too and have modified the exhaust on plenty of cars and bikes because it sounds great to me but I try to be mindful of others too. Harleys with loud or open pipes sound shocking when they go past, it's just a coarse offensive sound with no finesse. When it's done decently they sound good but don't assume open pipes get any response but anger from those that are forced to hear it.
