This was exactly my concern @crazydave1942, there are thousands of schools across the country and you can't just write to them asking them to send out a letter you have for everyone. Try it! See how far you get. @Shrek4 has described why this is difficult.

Re facebook, I think you are underestimating its ability to market and sell. This is the modern domain of where people tell their 3 to 5 (to 50+) friends.

I still don't think people are quite getting that 375 subs is pretty reasonable for Dec qtr. We've all discussed the 30 day free trial, but we just need to think a little deeper about that. Remember no one subscribed to anything until their free 30 days is over, so anyone downloading in Dec wont sub until Jan IMO. So those potential 375 subs come from downloads that occurred essentially in Nov only and android had less than half the month! (launched 27/10 on iOS and 17/11 for android)

To take 375 subscribers from the very first weeks of the app release tells me that (1) the app is quality, people like it (2) the downloads are possibly moving faster than we think, but its hard to keep track this through free online resources and (3) my 10-20% estimate for conversion of downloads to subs may be way too conservative. Sub rates may be way higher.

On release of the quarterly last Wednesday some people really shot their mouths fast on this forum without stopping to think through the situation here. It concerns me that these people trade with real money!
