For milesg and the other GW believers... 1. Science is NOT about a popular vote. So labor won an election...that does NOT mean man caused global warming is a fact. Science is more rigorous,and so called science can be WRONG for long periods. Gallileo was ridiculed because scientists KNEW the earth was flat. Same applies here.. The facts DO NOT support CO2 causing global warming...and has for years. The earth started warming in mid 1850,or before..well prior to the so called industrial advance. 2. In the US estimates have been done as to the cost to implement global Kyoto protocol. The potential saving to increase in earth's temperature by 2050 is about 0.0044 deg. and the cost about US$420 BILLION. So about $10 trillion we could get about .1 deg saving by 2050.
Maybe the left could find a more economical "issue du jour", such as a cure for cancer, or even the common cold...or maybe to appease the gays of the left, a cure for AIDS.
