Reading between the lines from the announcement and IMO key takeouts -
1. The cap raise will be a formality and completed on 9th. Plenty of support from the major shareholders
2. Comp 1 expenses high due to app development and major marketing to build brand. Expected vitality not achieved but user engagement higher than industry average. They nailed Usher as the main ambassador and this comes at a cost which personally along with jeb most likely wasn’t required.
3. However, 2018 strategy will build on the success of 2017. The success of this company now owning the IP to. Global mobile entertainment app, rights to performer videos and a mobile data analytics and entertainment advertisising value chain
4. The 2018 strategy of smaller comps will bring down ongoing operating costs. The core app functionality along with live streaming features wills mean development costs will decrease markedly. I like the fact expenses are being well managed as business model becomes operationally live
5. If management can pull off the big ticket items in the Hollywood heavyweight strategic partners and the finalisation of the RIVA India deal then WW2 comp will surprise big time.
Great call by mgmt in keeping this in suspension to all the bottom feeders on this site have no chance of accumulation at ridiculous prices.
My only regret with this one is why mgmt poured so much cash into marketing, usher and jeb - maybe there was method in the madness with all revealed in the deals
