.... there seems to be an unrealistic expectation (by most) in this forum that an additional million ounces will be announced next week.
An additional million ounces plus may well be announced by 2008's year end .. but it's unlikely that this will happen in the next announcement(in a week or so) .. as only what amounts to about 15-20% of the current first drilling program has taken place.
Most of the assay results(the 80% - 85%) will come back February or March next year.
So if a mill oz is expected to be discovered from 15% drilling .. do some here really expect another 7 mill oz by the end of this first drilling campaign ?
Let's be realistic everyone ... please !
I think this current first drilling program will refine targets and test hypotheses .. and will serve mainly an exploratory purpose and to help with follow up drilling programs.
No doubting the potential .. there's always a chance of hitting a supergene zone first up .. but let's temper our expectations at this stage.
