Interesting observation you made their regarding the extension of Xstrata, and you could be right.
But as you can see yourself this take-over is far from over yet and we have still the door wide open for any counter offers.
The capital gains tax is certainly an issue on my side and an attractive script in a good growing company would not be a bad thing imho.
I still believe that BHP would be crazy not trying to take out JBM as they do need the Nickel for their smelter.
Maybe the current difficulty with taking out RIO will make them have another look at some of the excellent smaller companies like JBM to add on.
I have said it before that I will still not be suprised to see BHP take out JBM, and hereby for the second time,as with WMC, let Xstrata be the onlooker.
Time will tell but the next few weeks will be very interesting.
