In general, I prefer management not to get involved in day to day price action - at least as much as possible. However, there are times which market really loses its mind, and management have tools at their disposal and are best qualified to calm the market.
I think this is one of those times when you see people jump off the cliff with 50% losses over a couple of paragraphs in AFR with not much in it other than speculation.
