Since I stopped believing in God, I feel free from the shackles of fear for any kind of afterlife.
Being human, we need not believe in any God to know that we should treat each other and all other life with respect.
However, there are different levels of human.
I am almost amused at people who go to church every Sunday (or twice a week) but outside that place of worship have no problem with scamming and cheating others... even their spouses.
