Yeah I totally agree N.taleb, best just to leave the whole MCL/QBL thing as it is- do nothing,
What's the hurry anway? The Star of this Show atm is MCL, kudos to Mgmt for cracking that nut!

The whole Bauxite proposition is very shaky Imo. Has anyone been up there? (I just live up the road).
South Johnston is not some scraggly salt marsh Cape York gig that no one could care less about. South Johnston is Beautiful (like northern NSW), green rolling hills, farms, babbling brooks etc, it's God's own country! Just like Mgmt seriously underestimated the time it took for MDL approval, I feel they may be underestimating their 'Social License'. The reason why the MDL took soo long to get is because South Johnston just doesn't want some Mob from Sydney scraping up their beautiful backyard. They were happy enough to give it positive lip service in the early day's but when push came to shove it was like Wooh no way Jose!
It's only because of Mgmt's perseverance and diplomacy that they've got thus far with the MDL granted; but trust me if QBL spill one shovel of dirt on the road or in the stream then that's all they need to say 'no we don't think what your doing is appropriate for this area' Imo

OK maybe Mgmt can get something going, but it's all going to be pretty small time and like walking on egg shells.

So if QBL were to spin off MCL anytime soon, well
Number one - I don't have any money for some 'MCL preferential share' deal. All my money is in QBL

Number two - (even though technically QBL will own 55% of MCL) the market will not focus on that. QBL
shares would tank. My shares would tank, your shares would tank, Pnina's shares would tank,
Sholom's shares would tank, Joseph's shares would tank, Andrew's shares would tank, -
    It won't be pretty

I hope everything get's left as it is ( what's the flipping hurry, I'm sure everyone's got more than enough on their plate atm). I hope Mgmt build up both business so that they are both profitable and can equally stand on their own right, and then make a decision.

Personally I would prefer some sort of merger/ name change. If Westfarmers can be a successful Conglomerate (mining and retail etc), I can see QBL/MCL becoming a successful Conglomerate (in time) also especially given the Feldman/ Kavasilas smarts.

    GLTAH
