Centrelink pension recipients who lie on their forms, sign them attesting to their truth, should indeed pay back the amount they defrauded the taxpayer for. END OF STORY.
Politicians' keep revealing to the public their predisposition to gauge large amounts of unearned income from taxpayers at any opportunity. Their terms of employment and pay should be determined by an outside body appointed for this purpose.
Too many examples like Sam D. who was effectively sacked yet continued to draw his salary for many weeks afterwards, plus adding even more to his accrued entitlements once he's left. This shouldn't be allowed to continue. Nothing more clearly demonstrates the lack of respect pollies hold for taxpayers. It can only to be expected that we feel appalled, in turn, by them.
Time for politicians to no longer in charge of their greedy opportunism. They keep proving they are not to be trusted.
