I would have thought you and your locals would applaud this.
From local impact point of view, you and your comrades should be happy about this. Less well mean less drilling times, less noise or traffic on local road, less disruption to local. But if you are not happy with this reduced number of wells and like more wells I am sure the company can respond to your requests and drill more well sites to make you happy.
From investors point of views less wells means less cost of development. But tax revenue for government and local royalty rate stay the same. Win win for everyone so what do you and the Greenies have to complain about.
