Nice price rise today which puts the parcel i bought last in the black but previous parcel at 23.00 still in the red.
I am exercising some caution at moment as US market is still more volatile than i would like, and AGL could go lower again. But i am also happy that i have bought into the company at a reasonable price and think UBS has the 12 month price target at 27.50 at about right levels. Plus the divies are a nice bonus.
AGL is only one of three investments that i have topped up on dips of last week. The other two is BHP and emerging markets etf IEM (as i wanted exposure to those markets in asia which will drive global growth without trading individual stocks in my super). Now have deployed a further 10 per cent of my portfolio , which i had in cash, in these three but the reason I bought into AGL was purely on value where BHP was a commodity prices play, specifically copper and iron ore as i am hoping global growth will see these commodities rise.
Hopefully i have got this long term play right.
