very true, sticking to core business is critical. so makes sense for many companies to buy this in as SaaS if they don't have scale to build in house... doesn't explain why amazon whose core business is delivery of goods quickly and efficiently, and has been for a decade or more, and has spend countless billions on R&D, software, cloud etc would need/want them? no-one there sat in a meeting and thought we could deliver better if we tracked our packages and optimised their routes with good algorithms
what's postulated as the angle with them?
