Futures contracts are always traded in novation. SPI futures traded in a 47 point range last night, high being 5892, low being 5845, with a close this morning at 5882, up xx points, on volume of xx contracts. Based on that move, my high resistance line is 5920, low support line is 5826, with the pivot point at 5873. The outstanding day session gap at 5845 filled last night, then she drifted up, leaving gaps to the downside at 5876, 5870 and 5859. SNP up 1.22 pct, and the VIX up 3.12 pct to 19.86 - remember that VIX inverse correlation got a bit skewed just before the last drop off ?.  Humm. Have a nice Friday, oh and don't forget US economic numbers out tonight, and RBA governor giving testimony at 9:30 this morning - probably not too innovative..
