Pull back? No vehicle is obliged to pull back to allow others to merge. The driver attempting to merge must do so in a fashion which doesn’t impede the flow of traffic in the desired lane they wish to enter- sitting on the front quarter of a vehicle in the lane we wish to merge in to is in no way correct.
Ever driven a truck? Sedans etc are often completely invisible- from the truck driver’s perspective I can only suggest being either 5 or more car lengths ahead of or behind the truck to have a hope of popping up in their mirrors.
Never forget that they can’t stop/turn anywhere near as quickly as passenger cars & have massive blind spots, much like a motor bike sitting next to a sedan they jus of can’t be seen a lot of the time so it’s either learn to live with them or risk our own and other people’s lives, a bit like walking near bulls etc in a farm paddock I guess.
Lastly we can note that truck drivers were up until not too long ago considered qualified to act as expert witnesses in court cases as we have to learn how to drive more difficult vehicles etc- along with learning about load distribution etc.
