#2, military government changing - they have delayed elections multiple times recently, ever extending the deadline. I think the current expected election date is early 2019, but I hardly believe it.

The army will hold onto power over the country for as long as they can, under the guise of 'improving corruption, political instability, etc', while they were silent partners in the political instability to begin with, in the take-over Bangkok protests.

You can see the public gaining a bit of confidence at the moment - less scared of arrest for anti-junta protests. The junta have clearly noticed, so they'll likely ratchet up the scare-tactics, like putting out news reports of bomb plots and so on, so a heavy handed army government seems 'needed' to keep the peace.

They seemed to take hold of power in advance of the king dying, so they would have an acceptable excuse to hold on for at least a couple more years. Now I expect they're waiting on the queen mother, which would give them more years with minimal protests.

Clearly I'm not confident about Thailand's government, so KCN will need other plans than relying on civilian rule returning any time soon.
