"The collective impact of these transactions is significant with more than $40 million removed from annual interest, depreciation and amortisation charges," Mr Shepherd said.
Today ERG also said it had reached an agreement with American Express Travel Related Services Company to pay at a discount amounts owing in relation to ERG's initial purchase of Proton World in 2001.
ERG's $20.6 million liabilities will be extinguished in full for about $11.7 million.
Outgoing chief executive Peter Fogarty said the current financial year would begin to show fruits of the company's recent efforts to get its affairs in order.
"We have previously stated that we expect to be profitable for the full financial year with the profit weighted towards the second half of the year," Mr Fogarty said.
"Based on our year-to-date performance and internal projections we consider this forecast to remain appropriate.
"We will continue to bid for projects, but we will be very selective in the process."
There was no shortage of opportunities on the horizon, with the company aware or 44 potential projects in the next 12 months.
The next major bids for the company's transport smart card systems would be for Berlin, and the whole of Demark.
