I doubt many people under 50 have ever had chips cooked the way, I would say, the proper way.
I’ve got 2 deep fryers and having access to plenty of quality fish, plus a dad who would drive past 15 fish &chip joints to go to the one that didn’t use frozen chips I’ve tried my best to educate as many people as I can.
I’ve never asked any of my kids friends what they think of my chips but only one out of approximately the last 50 haven’t made made a comment on how they taste better than normal chips!
The parent of the one that didn’t make a comment called me the next day to ask what brand/ were did I buy the chips?
He had copped an ear full about the home made chips but thought I had just spun the boy a line.
