I believe SUL is paying a rich multiple buying Macpac from a private equity (CHAMP).
The plan to combine it with Rays is going to drive down the Macpac brand even further.
I have purchased many Macpac merchandise in the past and I noticed that the quality has been deteriorating in the past few years. SUL ownership is unlikely to change this trend and I believe this will quickly alienate significant portions of Macpac loyal customers.
No wonder the reaction is this savage.
You can't simply buy yourself out of trouble.
