It would be nice but what could they do? They can't release forward looking statements as that is exactly why the market punished them.
All they can do is put their head down now and deliver (literally) on their projections. I believe they are doing that based on the available data to hand.
The SP can be both oversold and overbought on hype and fear in the road to that point where they either pull it off or they don't.
