You make a very good point about GSW, honestly never saw why a company such as Amazon with all their resources would rely on a third party. Why not buy it and remove a possible future competitor or simply develop a full custom software?
YOJ’s strength is in supply chain optimization and intergration. In theory creating a global interconnecting network with cross provider capability. They improve the process across providers in a space that does not invest historically in software development. The cross company intergration is designed to simply improve rather than compete.
On a smaller scale certainly to provide logistics for small firms to compete with Amazon, however, the benefits are also for the large logistics firm in improvements to their core operations and in turn integrat small operations with many large providers at a competitive rate.
Is it possible to make such a platform redundant? Or is it more a case of greater competition and less pie to go around?
Microsoft word did not make the pen redundant only improved communication but who competes with Microsoft word?
