This is why they have moved into Health insurance, Pet Insurance, Life insurance, Telco, Internet etc.....
they go beyond discretionary spending and becoming products people know they want and need.
I think the credit crunch will hit retail stores, personally I shop online because its cheaper and easier. When people have less money they don't stop they just find a way to get more for less.
